SHAPING THE FUTURE OF SEED

Seed Processing for the Highest Quality Seed.

Seedtech is the leading seed producer and processor of arable seed in Ireland.

Delivering the highest quality seed.

Seedtech has developed one of the most modern and advanced seed processing facilities in Europe at our site in Belview, Waterford, Ireland and produces seed to DAFM certification standards.

All certified seed is approved by the competitent authority in Ireland which is the Irish government under the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine (DAFM).

At Seedtech, our seed is produced to the highest standards, providing growers with a guaranteed standard of varietal purity, germination, and phyto-sanitary status.

Currently Seedtech produces both basic grade and commercial grade (C1), cereals, oilseeds and pulses for the Irish market.

All Seedtech seed is grown under contract with specialised and experienced seed growers. This ensures the seed quality coming into our processing plant meets our exacting standards prior to processing.

Seedtech is an IS EN ISO 9001 NSAI certified company since 1986.

ISO 9001 is the world’s foremost quality management standard. It sets out the essential requirements for a practical and effective quality management system (QMS) which is, in essence, a system for minimising risk and maximising opportunity.

The story of seed.

Prior to sowing seed, all of the land is assessed by our agronomy team for suitability.

Seedtech have been leading seedsmen since 1859 and this experience is invaluable when selecting land at this cricical stage.

All seeds are living things and must be handled and dried by experienced operators to prevent loss of germination and vigour, a skill which we have honed through the years.

Seedtech have built a customised drying and storage facility to manage this stage of the process.
