Seedtech varieties dominate Spring Cereals Recommended List 2015

Spring barley continues to be the most popular arable crop in Ireland. The super growing season we had in 2014 saw some of Seedtech’s new Spring Barley’s pushing towards their yield potential. KWS Irina and Mickle had an excellent year in 2014 with reports of very high yielding crops from all corners of Ireland. Through trials and research Seed Technology constantly screens for the next variety to bring added value to the Irish tillage farmer. Seedtech has seven varieties on the 2015 Spring Barley Recommended List and within the seven there is a solution for all situations in terms of rotation, input system, feed or malt. This year we have also produced a variety guide to help our customers apply varieties to specific fields and situations. Husky is set to continue as Ireland's most popular oat variety simply down to its excellent straw and super yield capability.
