Arable Seed General Manager
Seed Technology, an Arvum Group Company, is Ireland’s premier arable seed research and supply company. We represents the world’s leading plant breeders and carry out extensive variety research here in Ireland. We have a long and successful history of delivering new seed varieties to the Irish Market and are leading producers and exporters of agricultural seed. An opportunity has arisen for an Arable Seed General Manager to join our team. The key responsibilities of the role are:
Business Development: Working with plant breeders and industry leaders to ensure Seedtech varieties drive innovation, profitability and sustainability in a rapidly developing Irish Agri/Food sector.
Research and Production: Responsibility for the management of the activities of the seed research and production departments.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in arable agriculture together with an appropriate academic and/or professional qualification. The person should be comfortable working in a commercial research environment and have an ability to work on their own initiative. A proven ability to deliver on milestones and manage projects is essential.
